Waldorf

Waldorf

Manchester

A well-known traditional back street drinking pub in Manchester, just off Piccadilly Gardens, dating back to 1883.
The site was a very traditional looking pub with a lot of existing dark oak timber finishes and a worn and aged décor and was struggling to compete with the modern bars and pubs of the nearby northern quarter.
We were commissioned to rejuvenate the site with a more contemporary look but keeping the family run feel by adding more homely and fun chintzy elements with the fringed lampshade clusters over the bar and chevron carpet to the raised seating area. Punches of colour added with the warm yellow to the existing Timber bar front which helps to lift the detailing in a fun way.
Upon its relaunch The Waldorf was able to establish itself as a popular town centre pub and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
