MGI worked not only refurbish the Ground floor Bar areas but also to convert the site into a hotel once again, adding 6 en-suite rooms to the first floor. The existing traditional bar was retained and updated to include a new hotel letting room entrance from the car park and a new dedicated checking in reception area for the letting rooms created at one end. The overall finished design is an eclectic mix of furniture and fabrics to give the traditional elements a more contemporary lift.
The site is well known for its proximity to Chorlton green and its quirky access route through the now disused graveyard which leads to a paved seating area and the Bowling Green’s only outside seating. The 2no. new ornate steel canopy’s have enhanced this leafy green conservation area and extending the covered seating for customers and smokers in an elegant manor.
The bedrooms & en-suites were decorated in classic neutral tones, allowing for pops of colour from the design in the accessories, cushions and throws. This will allow the landlord to adapt and update the rooms over time and add to the Manchester themed artwork in each room.
