Beehive

Beehive

Bristol

The challenge set to us was to open the pub up into a one room operation utilising the bar servery as the main focal point of the room whilst still offering the flexibility to isolate part of the trade area to allow for private functions.
The interior has been designed with a mix of modern/ contemporary colours and features to appeal to the younger generations who previously did not frequent the pub. Existing features, such as the parquet floor were refurbished and retained to maintain a visual and historic link to the pub prior to its refurbishment.
Many design cues have been taken from the site’s name, The Beehive, including utilising the hexagonal “honeycomb” motif in the floor tiles, bric a brac, light fittings and feature joinery such as the wine displays and “beer hive” on the back fitting. Now a hub of the local community and Bristol pub scene the Beehive consistently receives rave reviews and has
been awarded a certificate of excellence by TripAdvisor.
